I would guess when the AIB 1080Ti cards are released. Until then if you don't want a reference/founders edition card then the AIB 1080s are still the best ones you can currently buy.
I am considering getting a 1080 myself. AIB ones are likely to be around 500 and AIB 1080Tis are likely to be 750 which is a 50% price increase for at best a 35% GPU improvement so the 1080 is better value for money IMO.
