So first of all I want to start with my specs. I have an Alienware 15 with Core i7 4720 HQ, Nvidia gtx 970m, 8 gb of RAM 1600Mhz, 1 TB HDD 5400 rpm. So when I start playing some game it runs smoothly, around 60 fps all the time. Suddenly it drops to 20 and after 5 - 10 seconds it goes back to 60. The problem is that this started to happen every 10 minutes which frustrates me and I can't enjoy any game. I read some of the threats but none of it helped me. I tried checking for malwares it didn't found any. I even formatted my laptop but that didn't help either. I haven't checked my CPU and GPU usage or temperatures but I will do it tonight. Please help!

Maybe your slow hard drive when it has to load something from the disk. That system really should be running a much better drive, get an SSD, install Windows on that and see how it runs.
