Hey there guys!
Right now im playing 2 games on daily basis, unfortunately both are bad optimized. I have Lenovo Y50-70 with pretty good components. It should run games with no problem. Anyway im playing Guild Wars 2 and Rainbow Six: Siege. I have FPS drops in both of them. I did a research saying that i should disable Hyperthreading for Guild Wars 2 because its not good optimized, its CPU demanding and running on DirectX 9, etc etc. After this research i found out article which says that even Ubi games might be problematic when it comes to HT so im wondering if FPS drops in this 2 games dont have same problem. And that would be HT.
I was in BIOS but theres no option for me to disable HT So i think i would have to at least try to do that with Set affinity through Task Manager. I have i7-4720HQ but im not sure which cores should i disable/enable there. I have 8 (0 - 7) options there. Which ones are actual cores and which one that virtual? Is it even possible to find that out?
Thanks for all answers
