High temp on CPU while stress testing stock settings

Hey guys!

I've finally gotten around to overclocking my system (I'm a complete beginner) planning on CPU and GPU overclocking. Before reading into guides I thought i'd stress test stock. Using Intel Burn Test and Speedfan I noticed it was reaching the 90's celsius line about halfway through. after the default 10 runs max was 91c. Isn't that too high?
What should I do to check whats wrong?

My specs:
Windows 10 x64
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87-HD3
CPU: Intel i5 4670K
GPU: AMD MSI R9 290 4G Gaming
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 16GB [8x2] DDR3
Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2
Case: fractal design core 3000
PC Is about 2yrs old now, cleaning dust every few months.

This cooler is bit better than stock, but not much. Don't try OC with increased voltage, you need to keep temps under 70c so you don't throttle and with this you are getting there on default voltage, increase voltage and you get way over 70c. Just run stress test for half hour and see what temps you get, if it is stable and bellow 70c, you can OC but to be sure changing thermal paste wont hurt.

Really? I heard of people overclocking with stock coolers.. and this is at least better than that, is it really not possible for me to overclock with this cooler?

Update: Redid the test, this time the temp stays below 70c. guess I saw something wrong?
Anyways, is this okay to OC? should I maybe replace the thermal? I've got Arctic MX4 which did wonders to my GPU's temps.

If you really want to overclock it, I'd have to agree with Mister_MO. Your cooler is ok, but if you really want to juice it up, a decent water cooler is pretty cheap these days. I use a Corsair Hydro 110i and it keeps my I7 at 60 degrees at full load even under a pretty high overclock...
