Which cooler will be the best for cooling an overclocked i5 7600k to like 4.9 ghz or lower: Noctua nh-d14 or be quiet! Dark rock pro 3?
P.S. I do not need to be silent... I want the best performance.

Solution
Either will do the job.
I have used a NH-D14 before, and it is very large.
I had a small problem with it touching the back of my graphics card in the first slot.

I highly suggest the newly revised NH-U14s.
It is redesigned with a slight offset to clear graphics cards and to allow ram with tall heat spreaders.
The NH-D15s is a bigger cooler, but I think not really much better.

Your odds of a 4.9 OC are good.

4.9 72%

One thing to consider is that you need to supply fresh air to a cooler for it to do it's job.
Something like two 120mm front intakes or better will do it.

I use a NH-U12s to get to 4.9 and my only intake is a 180mm fan running slow.

Solution
I personally use a bequiet Dark Rock Pro 3. It looks way better than the Noctua NH-D14/15 even if it performs 2-3 celsius degrees worse on an OC i7 6700K. It is very quiet indeed and that is a plus. Howeever it is quite difficult to install (the same can be said about the Noctua). P.S. I recommend installing the cooler with the motherboard out of the case. I used the thermal paste that came with the cpu cooler. It has a much more appropriate density compared to something like Arctic Silver 5.
