2 weeks ago I was playing Witcher 3 on my gaming machine, and suddenly it kind of froze for about a minute, and then it kept running but textures weren't loading. It happened 3 times, and the 4th one I had a BSOD that said page_fault_in_nonpaged_area.
Today, I turned on the computer and it was slow as hell. As I googled what to do, I tried to boot in safe mode (took me about 10 mins) and checked the Event Viewer. It had a lot of errors that said bad sector (or something similar).
I ran the windows 10 memory diagnostic tool and everything was fine (so I assume RAM isn't the issue for the original page_fault_in_nonpaged_area).
So, I ran chkdsk /f /r. It stayed in 11% completed for about 1 hour before crashing into another BSOD. I couldn't reach my PC fast enough to read the name of the error, though. The computer rebooted into chkdsk again (and it's currently running it, again on 11% completed).
Has anybody been through this before? should I be worried?
