I need a cheap cpu for under £100, I'm thinking about an I5 2500k or an FX 8300, but i'm not sure which one will fit be the right choice.
(I'll be pairing this with a 1050ti, 1060 or an R9 380).
Any suggestions will be much valued, thanks.
(I'l have a Corsair TX 650 PSU also)

Indeed, the best under 100 with the absolute best price/value solution is the new Pentium g4560!

It is like 6% weaker than the 120 euro i3-6100. But the pentium costs the half!

Do not confuse this new G4560 Penitum with the old ones. The new kaby lake g4560 came out a few weeks ago and has now hyperthreading, like the i-series. This makes it so strong, and almost exactly as strong as the i3 6100.

Also: When it comes to gaming as you mentioned. Believe it or not, in most games the Penitum g4560 is better than FX 6300, 8300 and even 8350. With better I mean sometimes up to 10 fps better.

You can not get more up to 100.

That feeling when you build a pc and the RAM costs more than the CPU, the feeling when bascially everything costs more than the CPU :D :D But it is the way to go budget-wise, since this new pentium came out! :)
