I've tried everything to get 4k res on my 4k LG TV via HDMI. I've the latest drivers tried forcing 4k by using CRU and my max 'recommended' resolution is still 1080p.
I've tested multiple HDMI ports on the TV and have a new hdmi 2.0 cable I got (albeit rather cheaply) from eBay.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thanks guys

i'm using HDMI output to an HDMI input.
I checked the card's max resolutions on the manufacturer specs page, that's why I'm so stumped by this It says it should do 4k, yet it refuses to let me go past 1080 Even when I use 'list all modes' through the adaptor settings.

No need to bother, I'd been planning to upgrade and I got an RX480 (8gb) version.
It does 4k no problem, though the icons are WAY too small to see on win7 even at 150% so I'm at 2560x1440 right now though go to 4k in games.
The PC blackscreens when starting games and goes to no signal and back again until I can log off or something then it returns but I'll make another thread for that. Consider this problem solved, though I couldn't get 4k with the card.
