Does your motherboard have to be overclock-able if you are going to overclock your CPU?

That Dell motherboard is socket 1155 and neither the socket 1151 i3 6100 or the socket 1150 G3258 will work with it. It's also not going to support overclocking any cpu due to its locked down OEM bios and h67 chipset.
