After hearing rubbish like: "GTX 1080+ or 1070 is overkill for gaming at 1080p" and such..."cards designed for higher resolution gaming 4k/1440p at least.

The dev said get a GTX 1070 or GTX 1080+ for higher frames/60FPS at ultra AT 1080p. Look, I only buy a game and/or a graphics card for TWO reasons. ONE: It has AMAZING breakthrough graphical technology being displayed. TWO: said new technology cripple my old card so I get a new card. It's a legit reason. Why I WON'T buy a new graphics card or game: because it's poorly optimized to or paid by GPU companies to be poorly optimzied to cripple my advance graphics card: I.E make a GTX 1080ti run at 25 FPS or 20 FPS or 5 FPS so I get a new one.

So what is Mass Effect: Andromeda? if a GTX 1060 3gb can run Battlefield 1 on ULTRA at 70-80FPS why does it run Mass Effect Andromeda at 20 FPS?

Is it a game that display breakthru graphical technology, i.e BF1, or is it a lowly optimized piece of equipment that waste your graphics card and should be skipped because it's subpar product not like BF1?

----
So I'm skipping ME: Andromeda is this right?

It wasn't right but a little editing corrected it. Please watch the language; we have some very young readers. Thanks.

any official bench for the game yet? because it seems nvidia expect 1080p high will get 60FPS on high setting.

now ultra will be interesting. in many games that we have today it is harder to notice the difference between ultra and high/very high unless you put the side by side. sometimes i think this ultra/nightmare setting is just business. such setting was just there to satisfy those with super high end hardware so they can justify the expensive hardware they get. if the game run very well then they said game developer did not use all the available raw power available on pc.

It's poorly optimized. I remember an interview where the dev's said they would not be working on it.

This game uses the same engine as BF1 (Frostbite - originally made for BF)

There never has been and never will be a standard like that. Some just can't/don't care about how well the games run.

well see then there is the internet that allows people like you to say anything false sounding sincere and make people think this is a thing ALL game companies release patches. It is poorly optimized but thats what you get with EA pushing Deadlines and not giving a shit Bioware does care and does try this is months later yes but your response is that of a tantrum throwing 3 year old. I dont like Andromeda or Mass effect so no one should get it. Its actually a really fun game yes buggy but much improved over release and i have two 980ti's ~ 1 1080 -10% performance and i was running the game on one card for a while ultra at 50 - 60 FPS dips in to the 30s but it ran fine so your numbers are complete BS

I never gave numbers, I never played the game nor did I say I did. I answered the questions OP was asking according to quotes the developers and people close to them said.

I honestly don't care what others do so why would I throw a "tantrum" over it?

Cheers.
