Is there an adaptor so I can connect a USB 3.0 20 pin connector to USB 3.1 Gen 2 header on a motherboard? I have an Asus Maximus Code motherboard and a Mastercase Maker 5t case. I'm just trying to connect the 4 front panel USB 3.0 ports to the motherboard. I've already connected one of the two cables to the usb 3 header on motherboard. If it's not possible to connect the other cable to the Gen 2 header is there an adaptor out there that I can use to connect it to a USB 2.0 header

I have yet to find a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) header to USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen 1) header adapter. If you have available USB 2.0 headers in your Asus motherboard though, you can use this USB 3.0 20-Pin (male) to USB 2.0 9-Pin (female) Adapter instead.

Of course, the two USB 3.0 front panel ports would just run in USB 2.0 speeds.

Ok I'll probably go with that option. I'm relatively new to PC building and I wasn't sure what kind of options were out there. I think I'll have to get an internal USB 2.0 hub because there's only one USB 2.0 header on the board and the cooler that I've installed needs that header

Do you think something like this would be ok.
