I am currently building a PC. I have some questions on it-
1- what is the preferable CORE COUNT for STANDARD LEVEL of (coding, video editing, workstation activity etc). I mean, not too high, or too low.
2- what is the RAM requirement for them (i am planning for 16 GB now and 32/64 GB later).
3- can i build a web server and website on my home.
4- does AMD r7 1700 uses thermal paste, what is max temp, do it have overheating auto shutdown?
5- do AMD r7 1700 and gigabyte ab350 gaming combination need any extra GPU?
6- i have 2 options for CPU- intel i3 7100 or AMD ryzen 7 1700. please review their potential advantages

Solution
1. Core count for those jobs, more the merrier, video editing most of it.
2. Same goes for memory. 4K editing in real time can tax even 64GB.
3. Yes you can but your internet bandwidth will most probably be a severe bottleneck.
4. Yes uses the paste and it has thermal throttling/shutdown safeties. Best to keep as cool as possible.
5. There's no GPUs included in present series of Ryzen chips, will have to wait until Zen based APUs appear.
6. No contest, 2 cores against 8 cores and 16 threads in Ryzen R7 chips. Closest Intel chip would be i7 6700.
