Hi there community! So let me just get straight to the point.

My relatively new laptop has been giving me such a headache these past few weeks and all due to an issue regarding wifi connectivity.

The problem only seems to occur away from my home internet connection, as when I am at home, the internet connection is completely fine and never drops at all.

However, when I venture to places such as university/college and various friends apartments, the connection seems to have a mind of its own. Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting within a few seconds. This occurs about every 2/3 mins.

As an avid gamer, it does tend to get me into a lot of problematic and unfavourable situations with progress in games and hinders me from integrating into numerous gaming communities. Toxicity ensues!

I would just like to know if there is a simple solution for this? I would be more than happy to give out more information on the matter, where needed, but here are the basics.

TLDR: Laptop model - ASUS X555L
Wifi drops for 4-5 seconds and reconnects (@intervals of 2/3 mins)
Virus/Anti-Malware Protection doesn't seem to be the cause.
Most frequently happens when in online games.

Thank you for the help in advance!

Additional notes (edited) - I have already reinstalled the driver for the WIFI and re-installed, it has not solved the problem.

Have an identical issue with the exactly same laptop, less than a year old.

Disconnects more often in Linux than Windoze so definitely hardware issues I would say.

Last time I buy an Asus. :fou:
