This isn't really a question I just figured I'd chronical some of the issues and semi noob PC builder mistakes that I made building my new Ryzen build. Aside from catching hell obtaining a motherboard and driving 8 hours just to get it all parts came in as advertised. On to my first mistake... After I put my motherboard in the case I added the RAM and Video card and decided to see if it would post. Nope just a blank screen. I checked the power cables and then the RAM still nothing. So I went back to the RAM and it turns out I'm an idiot and didn't have the RAM seated fully. After that it posted fine so I went on assembling everything. Skip ahead and I've loaded windows and try to load my GTX1080 drivers. Nope... Windows 10 needs it's anniversary update first and of course that downloads at a glacial pace. Skip ahead again and after 2 hours my PC freezes hard. I go into the BIOS and see that my 3000Mhz Corsair RAM is running at 2133Mhz. I load up the XMP profile for the RAM and now everything appears to be up and running smoothly. I haven't tried to overclock anything yet but we'll see how well my H60 cooler does. How has everyone else's build gone? I'll list my build below:

CPU: Ryzen 1700x
Motherboard: MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon
PSU: EVGA G3 650w
RAM: Corsair Vengence 3000Mhz
GPU: Zotac AMP Edition GTX 1080
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60
SSD: Crucial 525GB
HDD: Toshiba 5TB 7200 RPM
Case: Rosewill Nighthawk 117

Yeah I didn't use those when building as I kind of wanted to see if I could figure things out for myself. For a first time builder those are great. Then again I would have been right back on this forum had I not figured it out lol.
