FINALLY up and running after having a motherboard problem. I would like to thank username:adiec for helping with that.

I have a SSD 250GB (C:) as the boot device and the device Windows 10 Pro 64Bit is on and then I have a storage device HDD 500 GB (E:) which was going to be for storing everything. Do I need to put all my programs such as Adobe, Office, etc. on the SSD or can I run it off the HDD? I clicked on an Adobe doc and it was asking for a program to open, I browsed the (E:) drive where it is located and it would not open it.

Thank in advance for your help.

I would suggest putting your programs on the C drive (your SSD). They'll open quicker and be a little responsive on the SSD. Keep your data files on the HDD.

1. When installing a new OS on an SSD with all your programs on the HD, you need to reinstall the program "over itself" in the exact same folder. This will create all necessary registry entries while keeping all the customizations / preferences you selected since the original install.

2. Installing demanding programs such as AutoCAD, Adobe Premier may be advisable to put on the SSD, tho any user would be hard pressed to notice any differences with light stuff like Office Suites. You should have no problem putting all your programs on the SSD ... games ain't gonna happen.

i agree, i have a 250GB SSD with windows 10 and all my programs on it and i still have plenty of space left for programs and windows updates
