My motherboard decided to fail one day last week, so I decided to replace it. Both are Asus B85 series so the motherboards were pretty much identical. After everything was said and done, I was having internet problems and couldn't get my ethernet working. I did a reinstall of windows manually and not form disk boot. I reinstalled all drivers and the computer is running great, except... My games are all choppy now, even my android emulator is choppy, and it shouldn't be. I tried reinstalling windows from boot disk but it doesn't let me choose any partition. It gives me some error stating, "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
So what I'm thinking is all my issues may be boiling down to my old windows has some shadows in the background or something and it's messing up my computer. What do you guys think? I'm not really much of a computer guy so try to use lamens terms.
