I really have a nice PC with good hardware but i only get like 150-200 fps in cs go while other people with a much lower card and processor get like stable 300+FPS. Sometimes my FPS drops to like 40-50 (not very often) but this is really annoying. When my FPS is under 144 it's not as smooth as it should be (i notice this when playing) In other games like BF1 i get like 100-120 fps on maxed and overwacht i get like 150 as well.

PS. please don't say that 150-200 fps is enough (wich kinda is without drops) but with my specs i should get a lot more FPS and i just wanna figure out why, i didn't spent so much money for crappy fps.
In Borderlands 2 i have low fps as well (this article does not include Borderlands 2 settings)

My hardware:

- EVGA GTX 1070 FTW
- Intel i5-600K @ 3.5GHz
- 16GB DDR4 RAM
- 144 HZ display
- 240 GB SSD
- 3 Tb HDD @ 7200RPM
- Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3
- Corsair RM550x

My launch options:

-novid
-tickrate 128
-console
-refresh 144
-threads 4
-high

my ingame settings (wich doesn't matter at all):

- Aspect ratio - 16:9
- Resolution - 1920:1080
- Display mode - fullscreen
- Global shadow quality - medium
- Model/texture Detail - High
- Effect Detail - High
- Shader Detail - High
- Multicore rendering - Enabled
- Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode - None
- Texture Filtering Mode - Bilinear
- FXAA Anti-Aliasing - Disabled
- V-Sync - Disabled
- Motion Blur - Dissabled

what have i tried already?

- Old drivers
- New drivers
- Options in CS GO
- Options in Nvidia control panel
- Verify integrity of game files
- Deleting video.txt (and replaced it with other settings)
- A heck ton of commands in CS GO
- Reinstall all drivers (including geforce)
- Reinstall CS GO
- Turning power options to high performance
- Benchmark

the benchmark:
http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3097884
UserBenchmarks: Game 82%, Desk 62%, Work 43%
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K - 67.1%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 - 92.6%
SSD: Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB - 53%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3TB - 87.6%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 69.1%
MBD: Gigabyte Z170X-GAMING 3

does anyone have some options wich (may) work? i really don't know anymore what to do :/

You could try shutting down unneeded services, clean up registry, and freeing up RAM. There are a lot of programs out there to optimize your system. My favorites are ccleaner and advanced system care. Both are free unless you want a full version. Be sure to scan everything but the drives with advance system care in the care tab. Also boost to remove services and free up RAM.

Next what anti virus and other protection software do you use? I use avast and malewarebytes due to they are low resource users.

In the link below are few good tips for CSGO that should help unless its my maps your playing. :) Here is my launch options for csgo which the _cl_forcepreload preloads the map and sounds making more use of your RAM. -high -nojoy -novid -threads 4 -tickrate 128 +cl_forcepreload 1 +mat_queue_mode 2

i don't think my RAM is a problem with 16GB, but i'll look into it.
i have CCleaner as well but i'll try to look into it a little bit more.

for my anti-virus i use the windows defender (because i don't download sketchy stuff and i use the internet reletive safe)
next to that i don't really use stuff that could influence this kind of stuff.

i will test with some of your launch options as well, maybe that that will work a little bit.

i'll look into this site as well, i'll let you know something after i tried something. i hope this will work!

so, i tried everything on that list you said, i tried advanced system care, the link you send me i have done that all, and on that one benchmark test in cs go i got like 1 fps more on average so it didn't work at all :/

do you have other possible solutions maybe?

i ran another benchmark and it's kinda a great improvement compared to the first test, but in csgo it's still crappy

my mouse is ******* up right now as well, i used a sensetivity of 2 with a dpi of 400 but now it's not even close to being good and sometimes it's going crazy fast and most of the time really slow (mouse acceleration is off), when not ingame it's fine (after a rage-deinstall of 2/3 times my mouse works fine again, fps still not improved)

Did you ever come right with this? I've had the same issue ever since I upgraded from a 1070 to 1080 GTX.

I'm running a 6700k i7 with 16GB of RAM.

Try tweaking your graphics settings but before that, you should make sure to update your graphics drivers to most recent one. There are other methods to tweak your game and they really worked for me. Here is the guide which may be beneficial for you.

Your problem is different enough based on your hardware you need to make a new post since this one wasn't finished clearly. Please do that. Closed.
