Brand new gaming pc freezing while gaming

I built my first gaming pc a week ago and its been freezing ranomly while gaming. When it freezes the screen get all scambled and ctrl+alt+dlt does nothing. And the gpu tempts dont go above 72. What can i do to fix this?
My specs are
i5 6600k
Rx480 8gb
Asrock z170a
WDB 1tb
8gb
500watt 80plus

Its an evga 80plus certified psu

You should have a better quality PSU running those components.

So is my psu too low wattage or should it be bronze certified or higher?

Low end EVGA PSU's are poor quality and not stable.

They have some really great PSU's and some really poor.

GS , G2 , G3 or P2 are very very good.
