Is it a good idea to get a SSD and HDD for the same PC?

Solution
Absolutely, I have 2 500GB SSD's (Samsung 850's) and a 2TB WD Blue HDD. Games that don't have a lot of loading screens, or just doesn't require the absolute fastest Drive, can go on the HDD. While the more intense games go on the SSD (also the Operating system) but a 250GB SSD won't take you far game wise, so i would definitely recommend a HDD to go with it.

Generally the blue overtakes, but there's a whole ton of benefits to black also. It's ultimately up to you. Read the article, and make your decision.

Also, i got the blue because the 2TB Blue was only 60 dollars at the store i went to. The 1TB was 55 bucks. I don't use the HDD for games anyway, but if i were to, i wouldn't stress over it. I'm a simple, handy man, i don't need all the things black has to offer. The blue was cheaper, about the same, I have no complaints.

I know I am a bit late, but I see there is an unanswered question here. For that I would suggest this thread- http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1858471/western-digital-caviar-black-blue.html
It sounds like Black is the gaming model. But I see you got the Blue anyway since it's cheaper. But there's my answer. Nice build :)

I'd also like to add that Windows seems to still not care about SSD+HDD setups, making it more and more complicated to use it. I have that setup. But I deal with it, the speed is worth it.
