Computer Won't stay on for longer than a few seconds

Today I was playing Broforce with a friend when the computer seemingly just turned off out of the blue. I started by first going through and unplugging one thing at a time until all that was left was just the PSU connected to the motherboard. I should mention that every time i had to unplug the PSU's power cable completely each time, sometimes having to wiggle the mobo's pin connector for the PC to even turn on again. The longest it seemed to last was maybe a minute with not even a bios screen, after than i went through this (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems) guide except where it asks to use a working PSU and system speaker that i can't find.

My system specs are:
i7 7700k (with h110 Cooler)
16gb EVGA 3200mhz
MSI Z270 Gaming m5
GTX 980ti
A bunch of HDDs and SSDs i can list if needed
AX1200 PSU

Could i just need a new psu? i bought that AX1200 at Microcenter about two years ago as a refurb and honestly even since the first month i bought it I've always had to wiggle the motherboard cable every one in a while because it would just turn off otherwise. but before today my pc would do everything just fine no matter what i did.

Thanks for all the help in advance :)
