i just got a pc in home and the thermal paste was so garbage that is was better at being glue then thermal paste (spread all over cpu ect) i just removed it and i just ordered thermal paste
wil it be ok to run the system for 1/2 days without thermal paste?

and i know this wil get alot of hate xd

Solution
with out thermal paste your cpu is more likely to reach its thermal limit

more likely certainly isnt the same as 100% guaranteed to

and if it did it should shut down the pc any way

as already said

its possible though an eye should be kept on the temperatures

all depends how badly you want/need to use it i guess

and underclocking it and not running cpu intensive stuff would certainly help

My advice, unless your use case for this computer is to run critical life support systems and someone will die without it being on, then I would wait. Many processors have been fried over the years for this same mistake. Thermal compound is not there to just "fill the gaps" as in the gaps aren't significant enough to be a HUGE problem. The paste is there to provide the pathway for thermal transfer between the processor and your heatsink. Without it, there is no way that your CPU will not hit its thermal limit and then some within a minute and could cause irreparable damage. The risk in this case is not worth the reward. Just be patient.
