Hello guys, I have an i7 5930k in a Asus Rampage V Extreme with 16gb (4x4) DDR4 Kingston Hyper x Predator 2133Mhz and a Cooler Master Nepton 240m.

Recently I overclock my cpu to 4.5Ghz with 1.30v and my ram to 2400Mhz and for me the oc is stable I test it for around 5 hours in Aida64 and on Furmark cpu Burner and every seems to be stable, my temps are in cpu stress tests between 60-70c.

So i want to try overclock it to 4.6Ghz, but my question is if I should stay with 1.30v or if I should put a bit more voltage on that and if is it safe if the cpu can handle that and how much I would reduce the life of my cpu.

That is already a decent OC. As for pushing the boundaries, I think it depends on how much more voltage it'll take just to pass POST. Then to pass stress tests, you're likely to run into heat problem. I would keep it under 1.4v to have a peace of mind
