So i bought an Afox mother board Specifications:Intel H61 Chipset it says on the box that it supports 32 nm

i7/i5/i3/pentium/celeron processors in LGA 1155 package Supports next gen multi core processors & i want to buy

a 22nm Intel Core i3-3220 Processor (3M Cache, 3.30 GHz) so will it fit the 32nm mother board. All help is appreciated :)

Solution
You need to check if the motherboard has a BIOS update to support 22nm Ivy Bridge CPUs. If it does, you may need a 32nm Sandy Bridge CPU to apply the BIOS update with before you can use your 22nm CPU in it. If it doesn't, then you are out of luck.

The easiest way to avoid that potential issue is to buy an LGA1155 motherboard based on 70-series chipset which support Ivy Bridge out of the box for certain as the 70-series chipset was created primarily for it.

In this case, so long as the board lists the correct (matching) CPU socket, it will support the CPU.

So the CPU needs to say it fits an LGA1155 socket too.

Yes, I know, and my answer is what you need.

If the motherboard has that same socket, it will work. If it does not, it won't. Even if sizes were the same on the process, you can't just jam a processor into the incorrect socket!

How do i check if the mother board supports 22nm bios update

There should be a sticker on the box telling you the version that should be preloaded on it. Check that against the manufacturer's Ivy Bridge update version to see if it is newer or older than that. If it is older, then you will likely need an older CPU to apply the update before you can use an Ivy Bridge CPU on it.
