I /effectively/ have an ACER Aspire M3450 Computer, the only part in it thats acer is the motherboard, new case, new psu, new ram, new harddrive, Running Windows 7, i know, ancient right? I bought a EVGA GeForce GTX 740 SC 4GB GPU and when i plug it in, i get nothing. just a blank screen with a flashing white dash. I know the GPU works because i tested it in another system. I was told, by a forum, on here i think, that it was compatible, its /definately/ out of the warranty, ive had it sitting around for so long. i just tested it in a friends pc this morning, but i still cant get anything out of it in this computer.

searched for the manul and found https://www.manualslib.com/manual/390697/Acer-Aspire-M3450.html?page=9#manual

seems the system has an onboard graphic solution... AMD RS880P on die graphic solution Dual independent display -- HDMI and D-Sub I would say plug your monitor to the main board video connector, boot into bios and change video options to not be igpx but PCIE save and reboot, switch monitor to new video card.
