At the house I have an Asus WIFI router receiving Xfinity internet service for my LAN (no tv) and at my shop approximately 100' away (2 walls in between) I get one bar signal on my phone. Preferably whatever I do I would like LAN/Internet, better WIFI at the shop. I'm not sure how to do this and welcome suggestions. I have considered using something like the Ubiquitus NanoStation but I also have conduit running to the shop I could use. I trust that wired would be optimum and if used how would I do that? Network cable from the house router to a secondary router in the shop serving as an access point? Thank you for your consideration.

wireless will work but needs moeny, the ethernet is just one cable form the router to the other site, using a simple switch

the length of the cable, is what matters here, over 100 meters the cable start to loose speed and picks noise form the ambient, radio signals and that stuff

i wouldn't bother with wifi and would use utp, ethernet cable form point a to b, buy hthe cable, find the best path and connect one side to the router and the other to a switch, it will give you wired ethernet there and if you need more wifi, you could exchange the switch for another router

it depends more on what devices what to connect there
1. Your typical WiFi router will come with 4 ethernet ports. You simply buy or make cables to run between them. I made mine.

If you need more connections, just add a switch

Router => Switch
Router => PC 1
Router => PC 2
Router => PC 3

8 port Switch => PCs 4 thru 11

2. For the phone, depends on your provider AT&T for example has the M-Cell which is essentially a mini cell tower in your home.

Router => Switch
Router => M-Cell
Router => PC 1
Router => PC 2

3. if necessary, the switch could be in the shop and the MCell connected to it.
