I'm currently using a desktop which is well suited to my needs but I will be leaving the country soon so I need to purchase a laptop which will fit my needs. And with the 10 series laptop GPU's being similar in performance to the desktop versions, I feel now is the time to invest in a good system which will last me at least another 3 years.
First of all my budget is around 2300$ or ₹1,50,000. I'm not particular if the laptop has a 1060 or 1070 since I'm not really convinced that there is that much of a difference is performance. Although screen size is pretty important to me and I'd prefer a 17" inch screen to a 15" inch any day (Preferably with G-Sync).
These are the laptops I'm looking at right now:
-Asus ROG G752VS
-Asus ROG G752VM
-MSI GE72MVR 7RG
-MSI GE62VR 7RF
-HP 1HQ37PA
-HP 1HQ36PA
I have a few questions:
1)Is there a big difference between the Skylake and Kaby Lake (other than better power optimization) and is the difference is performance actually noticeable?
2)Is the difference between a GTX 1060 and GTX 1070, actually worth the (high) price point?
Thanks in advance :)
P.S. amazon.in can be used as reference for prices.
