The TV has 240V 1A alternating currrent written on the label.
The wire, which is not the original wire, is non detachable from the plug. At the TV end of the wire it has written on it "10A 250V". I assume that this is the output from the plug. The plug itself has 5A written on it and this 5A is surrounded by a circle. I assume this is the fuse rating. (There is a 5A fuse in it).
Am I correct in thinking the 250V is acceptable for a 240V device and that the 10A rating makes no difference at all as the TV will just draw the current that it needs (1 Amp)?
