GPU, CPU and Motherboard Compatibility! Will These Work?

Well, I am trying to build my second rig. However, It's been almost 4 years since I build my first PC and a lot has change. I just want to make sure if everything that is included here are compatible with one another and specially with my old motherboard.

do you want ot use parts from the old on the new one?

or just mention the old one?

the i7 requires a new mainboard and the new mainboard needs ddr4, so the old ram is not viable

You can't use a socket 1151 cpu in a socket 1150 motherboard.

You can't use that processor with your current motherboard. If you update the motherboard, you'll also need new RAM. Your power supply should be fine to reuse.

1150 is old and abandoned platform now, only you will find is old cpus for it, mostly used

i7 4790k perhaps could work?

surely will be expensive

it is simpler to buy new all and keep some of the old reusable parts

Yes, it's all compatible, but there's no way I'd pay that much for RAM. Do you really have a need for 32GB of RAM?

For a 7700k I'd drop down to 16Gb of ram and get a Z270 board so you'll have the option to take advantage of overclocking.

I don't really care that much about overclocking. I mean, is the 32gb too much? I guess it is but the problem is that I do lots of things on my PC. I edit videos, 3D software, photoshop, and other things.

I work on video editing, Photoshop, 3D software, and more. So, I believe 32GB is enough for multitasking?

Unless you typically work with 20GB sized files in your editing, 16GB is plenty.

Nothing wrong with any 200 series chipset (B250, H270, Z270), socket 1151 motherboard.

Multiple monitors should be supported by your graphics card (either three or four displays).
