so I've recently changed my MOBO and my PC case, all installation of the hardware went fine however I've noticed that i have a dramatic decrease in fps when i play CS:GO. I used to average around 120 FPS but now i'm averaging 40 - 50 and i cannot seem to fix it. I've tried changing my config etc. but nothing seems to be working. My new motherboard supports my DDR3 RAM and i have 16GB so i know it can handle the game memory wise. My CPU is also OC'd to 4.3GHz yet i still maintain the same fps and it can drop down to 20 at times. I've also tried changing my resolution and shader settings etc. yet nothing works. And no, my fps is not capped.

Solution

Look, either reinstall the OS like you're supposed to do whenever you have a major hardware change (ie motherboard), or don't complain.

There are no fixed problems that always happen, everything acts differently.

but everything else works fine with no problems, that's the only problem i have. I heard that you usually get different problems such as the pc not showing a display etc.
