hello,

I have build my own pc by myself for the first time somewhere around november 2016 and since december I think I had a lot of blue screens. Now I have them always 1 a day or maybe even more. They mostly happen when I play games, and one thing I noticed that it crashes faster (with faster I mean when I started playing the game till it crashes) with games that require a lot of graphic card power (sorry I am still a noob). the most common stopcodes that I got are win32kfull.sys, system service exception, kmode exception not handled... and several others.
I kinda accepted it but I spend too much money on my pc and I dont want to use it with problems so here I am. I tried making a memory dump file of Overwatch (a game that I play a lot these days) but I am not sure if I have to make a dump file of the game or something else.

here are my specs

  • Asus Z170 Pro Gaming - Motherboard
    NZXT Kraken X61 - Watercooler
    Intel Core i7-6700K - CPU
    Corsair RMx - 750W - PSU
    Corsair CMK16GX4M4B3000C15 16 GB DDR4-RAM - RAM
NZXT H440 New Edition - PC Case
    MSI GeForce GTX 1080 - Gaming X - 8GB GDDR5X - GPU

If I forgot to mention something, plz say it.

Thank you

Have you overclocked it?
What are your temperatures like?
Is your BIOS up to date?

I think I only overclocked the ram, I will check tomorrow. btw sorry that I didnt reply was playing a game :p
my temps are normal, cpu around 25 celsius idle and gpu 43 celsius idle. will give the temperatures when used in games tomorrow.
and I think it is, I really dont think that my bios should be updated. because to my knowledge bios doesnt get that many updates and because I builded it in last november there wouldnt be a new update right. Will check it tomorrow too.

Thanks for your reply, again sorry for my late reply. till tomorrow !

Try moving your RAM and CPU back to their base clock speeds.

Also, don't always trust the factory BIOS settings. It may need an update to run stable with your GPU. I once had a Z77 board that would not run with GeForce cards until I installed the latest BIOS, then everything worked like a charm.

Also also, do not worry about late replies! The beauty of online forums is that you can get back to one another on your own time. Trust me, I wasn't sitting here all day hitting refresh and cursing your for your lateness. :)

I turned the ram back to auto and updated my bios. I played a bit of overwatch and it didnt crash :D. I think its fixed but it may haven't so I will pick your comment as a solution in a couple of days. need to wait it out just in case it happens again. btw my temps are when playing overwatch GPU 68, CPU 33 (Program used = speedfan), and GPU 69, CPU 28, CPUTIN 32 (didnt know the difference so thought I will put CPUTIN too), NZXT Kraken 30 (Program used = CPUID HWMonitor) Btw all of these temps are in degrees celsius.

Thank you all again for the help. I hope that it is fixed. :) have a nice day or night !!!

This was happening to me also.. game crashes and blue screens.. after several visits to the shop.. turned out to being a virus.. My virus program Norton didn't pick it up? I had to do a total reinstall.. also changed virus programs.. NO problems now.. That leaked CIA data.. talks about certain anti virus programs are easy to bypass.. including Norton.. is now on that short list..

The shop that fixed my pc did use that program, I had several Trojan's after repeated visits to a first run movie site, free new movies, tho its still e legal, its a Russian site.. The site has moved around and landed now in Russia.. just clicking away mirrored pages the Trojan's hooks onto your browser. Really sad I can't go there anymore, used that site for several years but its so buggy now it's not worth going there.. a real bummmmer..

Just buy movies.
