Today I switched from GTX 660 to 1070 and now got this problem. I've tried installing the drivers manually, and by GeForce Experience, both fails. No matter what I try I'll always end up with - [This]
(Quick translate:
Niezainstalowano - Not installed
Niepowodzenie - Failure)

I have uninstalled the drivers by hand, same goes for Experience service.
One thing that I have noticed - Right now everything is very "laggy" when I move the windows and stuff.
While installing the drivers my screen goes black for a second, comes back up and everything works like the drivers have been installed. But after another 10 sec screen goes black again and it comes to the same point as before. Everything becomes laggy again and I get that popup which I posted before.

Hello... IMG2 YES that is my next step I will suggest B )

1) Delete that * "Temporary" folder C:\Nvidia... first/too before trying a "Custom" install again ok? B /

2) also remove any previous Nvidia entries/APPs in the control panel-Programs and features, to "manually" un-install them too.

3) re-boot the OS and try another 'custom" install IF the OS has not properly ID'd your GTX 1070 yet in the Control panel-device manager.

* That folder is not needed, and gets created with hardware/software installs... but never deleted afterwards... typically any hardware/software package does this... after a successful Driver install they can be removed. The actual OS drivers and configurations will get stored in a Windows/system folder B )
Hello... There are multi-APPs that can get installed from a "Nvidia" software package... and you should use the control panel-Programs and features, to "manually" un-install them.

Basically using the "Custom" install feature of the Nvidia software package... will allow you to minimize or "pick and choose" added features... the ONLY Hardware "Drivers" needed are the HD Video card and HD audio. B /

Typically if your getting "poor" video or lagging mouse, feel... the Basic MS VGA video driver is installed because of no Nvidia HD Video driver is installed yet.
