Planning to build a my first Gaming PC in a couple of weeks. Just waiting on custom 1080 ti cards to be released.

Current parts for the build:
CPU: i7-7700k
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62 280mm
GPU: GTX 1080 ti of some sort. Maybe a hybrid if reasonable price.
Motherboard: Asus Strix Z270E OR Asus Maximus VIII Hero
SSD: M.2 250gb samsung 960 EVO
HDD: Seagate 2tb 7200rpm
RAM: 16gb of G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200mhz
PSU: EVGA Supernova 850w 80+ gold
CASE: Corsair Crystal 570x RGB

I don't have a tonne of experience in pc building but planning to learn and want to know your guys opinions of the parts for this build and if they're compatible and would work well together. Also what anti-static and tool kits are needed to build the pc myself?. Also would maybe a x99 build be better for the future? Ive looked at benchmarks and the 7700k seems to be the best cpu for gaming atm. I will be doing editing and other work on it like streaming and youtube videos but gaming is the main priority.

Solution
1. Can't support the KrakenX62. For the same price you can get a real, no compromise water cooling setup. Kraken has aluminum rads, weak pump, mixes aluminum and copper components creating a galvanic corrosion cell and no way to augment the corrosion inhibitors once they lose their effectiveness. The Swiftech H240 X2 crushes the Kraken by 5C while being half as loud and $10 cheaper. See 23:00 mark of video

H240-X2-COLOR-PICS.jpg

The Swiftech unit is a pre-assembled package of custom loop components, all copper with large pump capable of adding additional components.

H220 X2 (2 x 120mm rad) = $139.95
H240 X2 (2 x 140mm rad) = $149.95

2. Using the H240 or H320 would give you more combined cooling capacity than the Kraken and a 1080 Ti hybrid. That would allow the installation of an MSI Seahawk 1080 Ti w/ full cover EK water block which cools not only the GPU but also the VRMs and memory putting you way ahead of the Kraken / Hybrid GFX combo.

3. The SSD will be great for booting Windows but you could gain a 50% speed advantage for ya games by using an SSHD as well as 5 year warranty

4. The 850 watter will be fine for twin 1080 stock Tis, but its too small for overclocking ... if LSO and overclocking are a possibility, I'd think 1000 / 1050 watts. For single card, a 650 will do just fine.

5. The Crystal 570 is a nice case but feature / performance wise it doesn't match up with the Enthoo Evolve / Luxe Tempered Glass cases which it has emulated. Another user reported today that the dust filter can not be removed on the top. And to my recollection toy can't fit anything bigger than a 2 x 120mm on top. I'm not telling ya to change but I'd take a good look before pulling the trigger. Also think about how you are going to mount the Kraken and hybrid radiator ... with all fans as intakes for best performance.

Im trying to keep it under $3200 AUD. Im also not very experienced with water cooling thats why I was going to get a hybrid card and AIO cpu cooler too. Also how would the enthoo evolv tempered glass case go with this build.

They are AIOs. :)
The enthoo evolv would go great with that, but I'm going to make a performance build for you.
Wait until aftermarket cards are out and you should be able to pick up a 1080ti for about 1k.
Save up a bit and you'll be able to get 1080ti SLI.
Do you need a monitor on top?
Because then you'll be getting a single 1080ti and a good monitor under 3200.

GTX 1080 ti sli for $3400 thats pretty insane but I want to keep the build looking really nice i.e the rgb ram and motherboard, along with the aio cpu water cooler and what not. I do need a monitor too but am planning to purchase one later in the year. Also may get sli gtx 1080 ti in the future but the plan at the moment is to set a really good foundation for a gaming pc for the future. Also does that mean if I got a swiftech 320 x2 I would be able to cool the cpu and gpu?

I get where you're coming from; I have the same thing in mind when I build too. :)
You think to yourself after you build it; wow that looks nice, but then after a while all you find yourself craving is performance, and visuals take a back seat.
Even now i'm somewhat regretting spending cash on Cablemod cables and a few other aspects over saving for a second 1080, because now I'm at the stage where i'm waiting for next gen.
Point is, if you have a high end display and you run intensive games, you'll always want more performance, and you're staring at your screen 99% of the time, not the PC itself.
So my tip is; have a nice looking PC, but have a good amount of performance in there as well.
Maybe select your favorite case and color scheme within a reasonable budget (not like Asus' Hero series!) and focus the rest on performance.
Also I forgot to swap out the RAM, get these, LED versions of the same kit :): https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/J7RFf7/corsair-vengeance-led-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-cmu16gx4m2c3000c15r

Ok well what case do you think will be the best for the NZXT Kraken x62 that isnt the evolv TG.

As I said before, your options are go for a 1080ti and monitor, or get 35% less performance and get a fancy cooler, if you still want to make that decision get the S340 Elite.

I've already included quite a bit of RGB LED lighting as well on the RAM and motherboard.
