Should i be able to run new Games

i was wondering if my pc build is up to standards to be able to run the new pretty games at max settings like ghost recon wildlands if i put it to max settings i get less then 30fps my build is:

i5 4690k
Amd R9 390
Asus Z97-e
16gb DDR3 ram

im getting an i7 7700k in a week or so would that help my performance or could it be my video card restricting my performance

From what I can find, you're GPU bound. It seems as though that rig should be getting closer to 45 FPS in that game, but there isn't much data to base that on.

Regardless, your CPU is more than fast enough for that game. Upgrading it won't make much difference.
