Any Ideas how to lower the price on my build?

Solution
Performance and quality for me means only get the most basic components to get the computer to start up and do what you bought it to do.

- Skip the SSD if you can. (~40$)

- The motherboard is costly for the brand and features. Shop for the motherboard that you need, not with fluff you might never ever use. I would personally look in the ~100$ range.

-8GB DDR4 (~40$)

- Swap the NEX for the GQ model. According to research (johnnyguru), the GQ is better quality for the same price.

IMPO - if you are going 1060, stick to 60hz and 1080p displays - perhaps invest in the RX480 and save the money with the current monitor you have (if it is 1080/60hz)
- if you really want the 1080p gaming with a 144hz monitor you'd be better off to...
To lower the cost, you're going to have to fore go something. Since you're gaming at 1080 resolution, maybe you don't need to overclock. Then you can go with an i5-6500 or 7500 and a B150 or B250 mobo. The non-K CPU's come with a cooler, so you don't need the Cryorig cooler. Also, you can get by with 8GB of RAM.
