I wasn't really sure where to post this or how to describe what I need help with. Sorry about that, please don't hate me.

My current build is as follows.

I7 4970 non k with evo air cooler
Msi z97 krait gaming edition mb
Evga gtx 1070 ftw
Corsair 850 gold psu
16gb of ram (not sure of the brand, going to buy different ram in a few months)
3 corsair case fans
Corsair carbide spec 01 case.

Now forgive me if this is a stupid thing to ask help for. I want to buy a different case for a few different reasons, but the biggest is better cooling. I am not a fan of water cooling and I want to stick to air cooling.

My main game right now is overwatch and I want to be able to play it at 300 fps at 1080p and not have my CPU go to 64c and my gpu reach 74c with a fan curve of 68 % speed.

I don't like heat and sometimes it seems my gpu doesn't stop getting hot and will keep rising unless I cut it off. Before you ask, yes heat bothers me and it bothers me a lot.

Question is, are there cases out there known to help me with my quest for better cooling that look awesome at the same time. I am trying to achieve these lower temps with air cooling and I am taking any suggestions. Ty

Non of my hardware is overclocked and my hardware gets that hot in my room when it is 67f and no I am not lying. Even at 144fpd cap and on all low settings overwatch causes my gpu to 63c and the temp just slowly creeps up over time to almost 70c over the course of my 1 hour sessions and the CPU will do the same but doesn't go over 62-63c.

There is no correct answer on your question, heating problems is complex. Summary from hw setup, sf setup, air conditions. I had similar issues, back in the days and what I have done is to get full tower case preferably whit PSU on the bottom and good air flow. That solve my issues, but I never got my CPU on that high temp or my and my is overclocked including GPU too.

p.s.: 300fps at 1080p, that is illusion you monitor probably is working on 60Hz (144Hz max) you dont need more then 60 fps your eye cant see the difference.

The fps issue is I just want the option of it and I personally feel there is a difference when at higher frame rates, not seeing wise but game play wise.

I understand heating can be a weird thing to determine why. The spec 01 case isn't very big and can be a little condensed, the heat in the case also does not dissipate very quickly and the ACX coolers are said to leak heat out, so it is possible my computer is getting hot boxed so to speak.

You also say you have never had your cpu get that hot. Is it water cooled or air cooled? You make me feel like something is very wrong:)

Is there a full tower case right now you recommend that would be really good? My budget is about 200-250 USD so any starting point would be helpful and thank you for your reply.

Phanteks Enthoo series has pretty decent airflow

Corsair case fans aren't the best (unless they're MLs) but should suffice

Your GPU seems a tad hot, my 1070 never gets to that temps but I'm running a Thermaltake F51 with a side intake.

I'd probably take a look at dust build up, cable management and other airflow restrictions that might cause your GPU to heat up before dropping too much cash on a new case.

Sorry for the late reply.

It does get a tad hot, but I know why that is and I do regularly clean the dust out. The case is not very big and the air flow is not at its best, not to mention the cable management really sucks because again, there just isn't much room.

When I bought this case, I intended to buy a better, full and huge one later on, which is what I am going to do now:), so I am not buying it because I don't have to, I am doing it because I want to :D.

You guys have pretty much solved my issue telling me a bigger case will probably help. Are there companies anyone suggests looking at as well?

One more thing, what do you mean by you have a side intake. I see there is a small squared cage or grill where the video card is mounted, did you install a fan there?
