USB Flash Drive unusable

Hi,

I have recently had issues using a USB Flash Drive. It's a spare I've had for a while from Toshiba. Recently I was backing up some photos from a family member's iMac, and the flash drive seemingly stopped responding. I tried to format it and access it on the iMac to no avail. Later I brought it back to my Windows PC to see if I could fix it. However, when I attempt to format it, it still failed to do so. I tried fixing it through partition settings, but every time I attempted to do so the drive would either disconnect or stop responding altogether. I've also tried third party programmes like Partitionguru with no luck.

Any suggestions to fix this drive? I don't really know what caused it to stop working in the first place, but it would be nice to fix it if possible.

also do this,
Install 'Easeus Partition Recovery' and try. I think it will solve the problem.

You're using a pen drive for backups?

No-no-no!

Pen drives are the last thing you should be using for backups, especially irreplaceable photographs. Pen drives can fail without warning at any time, only suitable for short-term storage to facilitate file transfers.

When it fails you simply bin it and replace. They are too cheap to bother with when they start misbehaving.
