Best air/water cooler for a i7 7700K?

As the processor does not come with a cooler it self. Which would be recommended?
Preferences; Silent & efficient.

PS, I do not wish to put a EVO 212 in my chassis.

Motherboard will most likely be a Maximus IX Formula.
LP RAM,
GTX 1080 Ti.

Depends how much you want to OC.

For a medium overclock and reasonable price, the Cryorig H5 Universal would be my choice. Available for less than 40$. Alternatively a Thernalright Macho or Scythe Mugen/Kotetsu(was it the Kotetsu? Think so)
If you want to push the full OC potential of your build I'd go with a Phanteks TC-14DX or a Noctua NH-D15 would be my favourite choices.

I do currently own a NH-D14 in my current build, I am happy with it, but it is kind of big and looks rather weird.
Is there any alternatives for the cooler? Maybe Dark Rock that look more pleasant that a white big brick?

Dark Rock / Dark Rock Pro are good and silent however for their price their cooling is mediocre (mostly sufficient but of course a ND14 cools superior)

Take a look at the Phanteks TC14DX or the Cryorig R1

Probably cheaper is to just replace the fans on the Noctua with for example Phanteks

The fan is rated for 19-23dB(A)
Which is pretty good.

It's not as silent overall like Noctua or Phanteks but by no means a noisy cooler.

The Cryorig R1 is very good and fairly quite and you can buy the covers for it in different colors.

The R1 universal has 0 memory clearance issues you can see all 4 memory slots. This is the R1 Universal in my PC with the red covers.

Doing some further research,
Would the Corsair H110 be a good choice perchance?
If it even fits with my case. Current choice of Chassis is Obsidian 750D

That will be the loudest thing in your PC when under load and really not much better than the Cryorig R1

The R1 Ultimate is a bit quitter and cools a bit better than the universal.
The main thing I don't like about the AIO coolers is of course a rare chance of a leak but if the pump goes out your PC is 100% down.
