Looking for a bit of advice as have not found any other similar question anywhere.

Obviously, one of the selling points of the Asus Maximus IX Formula is the waterblock.
I like this board, however do not plan on watercooling.

Anyone know if the block thats on there will negatively affect system cooling if I don't watercool?

Thanks

Solution
ROG MAXIMUS IX CODE - is the "air cooled" variant of the Formula.
That waterblock adds 50-70$ to the price. If you are not going to use it, why to pay for it.
Also, the Maximus IX Hero is almost the same for much less.

To your question, you will not be able to notice the difference in cooling.

Thanks for the reply.
I thought this would be the case. Wanted to be sure though!
Personally prefer the styling of the Formula, hence my question.
Whether that styling is worth the price increase however is why I currently have 3 seperate orders waiting for one to be finalised.
