Help with a budget gaming pc?

I have a very low budget due to personal issues, however I've been dreaming of building this gaming PC for years now. I currently own an Acer Aspire x-603, which was a gift by my brother(he got ripped off, bought it for 450 euros).
The specs are terrible, can barely play games from 2010.
Specs:
intel j1900 processor, 4gb ddr3, 500gb, intel hd graphics.

Anyway, these are the specs I am aiming at for my gaming PC:
intel i3-6100, 2x4 gb ddr4, gtx 1050ti, around 1tb, but can do with 500.

Adding the essentials such as the motherboard, the case and the PSU, that adds up to around 400 dollars, including the rebates and such.

I know what you might be saying, 400 dollars and you still don't afford it?!?!?
Well, I have other problems that I have to take care of, so I was really aiming at something like 200-300euros.

I can probably use the ram from my current pc, and the hdd, and I found a gtx 650 ti used for 65euros, I can buy a new i3-6100 and probably another 4gb. Do you think that will work? if not, any suggestions please? thanks

Solution
If you spend a tiny bit more you can get way better performance.
I know it's a stretch, but trust me, save up a little more for that 1060 3GB, you'll notice huge gains.

Nope. U have DDR3 and Skylake(6100) above uses DDR4. So we can discount that from the equation. 650ti is still pretty decent for low to medium settings(depends on games) gaming as it is around 750ti, so we can keep that. The 500gb hdd you have can be reused if its in good condition.
Keeping all that in mind.

Add the 650ti and hdd to this and you have a ok gaming pc.

Note: The G4560 is almost equal to the 6100 at half the price.

You could save a lot of euros getting a G4560 instead of the i3-6100 as it is the same thing for half the price.
but you wont be able to use your DDR3 ram unless you get a 6th gen board that handles DDR3. but that leave your in a corner, as your board cannot use DDR4 later. and will force you to upgrade.

concessions I understand.
450 euros is tight.

HDD you can use still, it wont be peak but...yeah I assume is sata II not III (make and model maybe of HDD)
also need to know the Mhz of ytour current DDR3 to help for this exercise I will use 1333

but when tight in a budget I suggest the following... see what you think of it

suggestion #1
using your Ram, and HDD shown in there with 0.00 value just for placement

now the other options would be B250 board and DDR4 8GB, which would bring you to the 21th century tech, the B250 would permit you later top upgrade either to 6th gen or 7th gen I5/I7 CPUs without having to change anything, the 1x8gb is because you only have 2 slots for ram giving you space for expansion.

Woah guys, lets not jump on prices yet, we don't know what country OP is from or what his local retailers are, UK and US prices after shipping can be monstrous.
@OP, what country are you in?
The link you listed is 100% a scam, an i7 alone costs more than 300 euros.
If you're in Malta you can't build a decent gaming PC for that price, you'll want 100 more, prices are crazy there.

I am from Malta indeed, and yeah, the prices here are crazy! I don't plan to buy new components from here, was only checking out some used GPUs.

Spain generally has the best prices for Malta.
Here's a slightly better build improved upon from Hellfire's.
Better mobo for a few euros more, cheaper deal on decent RAM, and a GTX 1050 which performs better than the 460 for a few Euros more.
EVGA also have possibly the best customer service and support team around, so that's a bonus.

Optimally yeah, but there's about a 15 Euro price gap between this and the next decent 2x4GB kit, and the difference isn't that big.
Pretty much i'm a stingy bastard but hey. :p

Thing is, if there is any issue with single stick, you cannot boot the system. I have seen so many cases where ppl get screwed this way.

Meh, running a store i've only really ever had RAM come back a user error, like trying to jam it in the slot without pulling the side pins down and breaking the connector, or spilling liquid on the stick itself.
Only issue where it was an actual dead stick was a DOA Kingston Fury kit which was easily replaced.
