As the title says, my four year old gaming computer turned off last night during the middle of a game. When I tried to restart, it got to the "Start windows normally or start windows in safe mode" screen, and when I tried start normally, it just turned off and restarted only to turn back off until I finally hard powered it off. I woke up this morning and turned on the computer, crossing my fingers, and it works like normal - no data loss or anything. My concern though, is that it happened last night and repeated.
I've read from several sources similar incidents with people replacing their power supplies as the fix. I'm not trying to resort to that if all possible. Since this forum seems to contain some very experienced and intelligent posters, I would like to ask for anyone's advice who may know what the next step of action is.
