I have a i5-6600k and a 750ti atm, how do i find out which model i am using. Do i have to open my case to check?

Yep, its usually on the sticker on the psu. If its not the second model then you need a good 600W psu

I think i have this one https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-ATX12V-CrossFire-Warranty-Supply/dp/B0058FAYQ2

Since you don't know about the model I wouldnt take the risk. Thermaltake psus are a hit and miss especially the tr2 model. I would suggest get a new Seasonic PSU of 620W which would last the entire life of the PC.
LINK: THIS ONE IS CHEAP. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003BIEOCI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1489633548&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=seasonic+620w&dpPl=1&dpID=511kc7b9x7L&ref=plSrch

You can also buy s12G or X series. But they would be much costlier.
Here is a link to the PSU tier list: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

You can buy any psu from Tier1/ Tier2.
