Need help making a build

Solution
Well here's the thing, you can either stick with your current monitor, get an aftermarket 1080ti and the first build in a few weeks time and obliterate everything at 1080p 144hz, or you can get a GTX 1080 and a 1440p 144hz build, but not get as high frame rates in games. Note with a 1080 you'll still get stuff like 100-ish fps maxed on Overwatch, 60fps average in Arma 3, 75fps in TW3 etc.
Looks come second to performance, but i've included a good balance here.
You don't want to spend money on visuals to the point where performance takes a hit.
Wait for aftermarket cards and you should be able to pick up a 1080 ti for between 1k-1100.
Get this if you already have a 1440p 144hz monitor, if not get the second build.
