PSU and Graphics card issue

Hey guys,

I've just finished installing my new PSU ready for 1080ti upgrade in a few weeks (EVGA Supernova 650 G2) but I have encountered a problem.

The unit only comes with 2x 8+6 pin PCI power cables, but my MSI 980ti requires an 8+8 pin PCI power cable.

I upgraded from an EVGA Supernova 550 GS, so I just figured that this model would also come with the same cables if not more. Should have checked but eh..

So my question is; will I be able to just use the 8+6 pin cable?

If not, could I use the 8+8 pin cable from the GS instead? Or would they not be compatible? (They are physically)

Any help appreciated!

Ah right, I see what you're getting at now!

So I can use the two SEPARATE 6+2 pin cables together for one card? Every PSU I've ever used, including the GS, has only needed the one cable with two split headers so I didn't think you were supposed to do that ha
