So basically this is my current system http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3072376

CPU: 4690k OC to 4.5
GPU:970
Mobo: Gigabyte GA z97
Ram: Vengence 16gb

Basically I play a lot of eve online and overwatch (4 or 5 clients at a time for eve) and do a bit of video rendering on the side. I run two 144hz monitors and right now my build is having a lot of problems keeping up with multiple eve clients.

My Budget: 8-900 dollars

My questions:
Im intrigued by the new ryzen cpus. They seem to game well and multitask great. WOuld it be worth it to get a 1700 or 1800x and upgrade the mobo/ram? and buy a 1060 or 1070?

What about if I kept the same build and just upgraded to an i7 in the same socket and got a 1070 or 1080?

Appreciate all input. My budget is very strict tbh. Looking for the best performance boost per dollar basically. I'm leaning towards the ryzen revamp personally

Solution
I'd recommend getting a 4790k and then upgrading to a GTX 1070.

Games are becoming much more GPU reliant and honestly Ryzen or no Ryzen, it's not going to make much of a difference.

Considering you're running multiple clients it might be worth doing a memory upgrade aswell.
