Hello,

I have a problem with my pc and I am not sure whether it is my monitor problem or my GPU.
When I start the pc, I get this strange horizontal and vertical lines on startup. But as soon as the windows is loaded everything is fine. I plugged it to my TV HDMI and on my tv which is 720p works fine.

Another thing to be noted it while these horizontal and vertical lines are shown on the screen, if I unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back quickly, the problem disappers.

It only happens on the startup. I played CS GO and ran heaven benchmark for 15 minutes and everything looked fine.

Can I be sure my GPU is not failing and it is the monitor problem?

Any help is appreciated.

First try to use another HDMI cable. If that doesn't work and your monitor does have other display inputs like displayport or DVI, then try to use one or all of them as a test. If you keep experiencing those issues with a displayport/DVI cable, then it's likely that your GPU or monitor are bad. In that case plug another monitor into your system, if it works fine then your monitor is responsible for those issues but if it doesn't, I'm afraid that your GPU is probably bad and those issues are going to get worse by time. Just make sure that the GPU cooling system is working properly and that your GPU isn't overheating.
