I have a brand new custom build pc and it has everything installed on it. I had an HDMI cable plugged in to it in order to hear through my monitor because I could not get the sound to work through my Tower. When I plugged in a DVI-D cable it stopped allowing me to get sound from my monitor or my tower. I could really use some help.

Solution
It sounds like you sound is still set to use the HDMI Digital sound fromt he graphics card. The tower would need to come from the motherbd usually or a soundcard if you installed on. Rt click on the speaker Icon down by the system time in the bottom right corner and then click on Playback Devices. Try Realtek HD, Speakers, Headphones, or something as I'm not sure off hand what win10 calls it.
