Good day,

Guys I want to know if the Plextor M8PeY 256gb PCI-E nvme SSD will run at correct speed read 2000mbps / write 900mbps on my old workstation Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H + Xeon E3-1230v2 + kingston DDR3-1600 ECC*2 + quadro K1200? or I need new pc motherboards that supports nvme?

Solution

No it doesn't. There is no port for that drive.
But I wouldn't change the motherboard (the whole system, basically) just to be able to use one of those drives.
