Hello everybody,

Over a month ago, my AMD Radeon R9 380 graphics card suddenly stopped working. I contacted my retailer and they sent my card to MSI, who replaced the card with a 'brand new' one (it has some dents in it etc). I thought nothing of it and installed the card in my pc.

The first thing that happened, was that my computer was able to boot (bios startup screen came up, followed by the 'windows is starting' screen). After that, a Blue Screen of Death. The PC reboots itself and the same happens. At this point, the PC was stuck in a BSOD boot loop.

I decided to reinstall a clean copy of Windows 7, which succeeded without problems. After installing the Mobo drivers (MSI B85-G41) and AMD graphics card drivers (Of the R9 380 card), everything worked fine. The computer booted up normally, and I started finishing my installation by installing antivirus software and other programs.

That was yesterday evening. This morning, I checked if the PC was still working by powering it on, and guess what. A BSOD. The PC switched itself off and on again, with another BSOD. After the 4th BSOD, I concluded it was stuck in a new infinite loop of death :( I did another clean install of Windows 7, which succeeded at first. Unfortunately, the same happened. Again, another BSOD loop (after restarting with some windows updates).

At this point, I have no idea what could have caused this problem.

Note; Before placing the R9 graphics card, I used an old 'temporary' card, which showed no problems. Everything worked fine, until I placed the 'brand new' R9...

If anyone has any idea what seems to be the problem, that would be great.

Well, you know it's the graphics card that is the problem. Perhaps you are installing the wrong drivers, or maybe the card is incompatible with the motherboard.
