I have a D Link DGS-1100-16, and am racking my brain as to be able to connect to it.
I have accessed the admin portal before 2 years ago, however circumstances has changed within my network and I need to access it again, however to no avail.
This is what I have tried so far. (In order)
- Factory reset the switch using the reset button on the front panel
- Attempted to log in with chrome/edge/IE using the IP 10.90.90.90 / 192.168.0.1
- Configured the IPV4 configuration on my LAN adaptor to various IP/DNS/Mask values
- Tried to use the D Link software's including the network assistant and smart console
- Tried using various other IP addresses to no avail
My current setup is 1 Ethernet cable plugged in from my laptop running windows 7 (fresh install) into the number 1 port.
I understand that I might be missing a crucial component of the installation, however all I have done so far is follow the manual PDF provided by D Link.
I don't know if this additional information helps but we have had several power outages the last 3 months, although the switch still functions as a dumb switch, however I still need to access the admin portal, hence the problem needs to be rectified,
Any help is greatly appreciated, I have spent over 5 hours so far trying to figure this out myself.
