Graphics card Quadro K2200 shows horrible FPS in VMWARE

Hello,

On our servers we have dedicated the quadro K2200 to one of our virtual servers.
We went trough the process of passing through the video card and finding him into our server.

All good there we can even benchmark the GPU. But that's when something strange happens. We used FurMark to test our GPU and we only got 19 FPS which is extremely slow as you can see in the screenshot. The strange thing here however is that it says "unknown version" at the driver part even though the server says we have installed the august 2016 drivers.

Does anyone notice something strange or has encountered this problem before?

Thanks in advance,

Wouter

Some scores can be found here:

i'm not sure if these are on the same version as ours though so i'll test this evening with an gtx 770 ( this will be in an normal desktop though) to see which results i'm getting there. I am aware though that the quadro is an server gpu whereas the gtx 770 isn't. the gtx should be slightly faster i believe. I am not a pro in this though so i'm not sure what to expect.

Our problem though still remains that we do not notice any difference with or without this graphics card.
We have an silverlight running application (silverlight is a very graphical language so uses the gpu a lot ). But we notice no difference between the servers, so we started benchmarking the one with the graphics card and noticed the results were poorly.

As for the graphics card, the card is approx 6 months old but has been always like this in our server so hasn't really been pushed to the limits yet.
I'm connecting straight to the server with remote desktop so i believe there's no real "gap" there?
as for vmware, i have no idea what exactly we could change there. We have however some settings on our video card:

but these are set to the highest we possible can. We found something on the internet that it's possible to set the video cart to even 512 MB.
"For a virtual machine to get a share of the GPU it must also have some of the adapter’s video memory allocated to it. The amount of video memory you can allocate per virtual machine is limited to 512MB (If you can’t increase it to more than 128, upgrade the VM’s hardware version)."

But even after upgrading our VM's hardware version 128 was still our maximum.
I'm not sure these settings have any effect though since we added them as PCI device also and can find him in our virtual server.

As you see we have the vmware one disabled here ( which is the 128 mb one ) and have our graphics card enabled which should have 4GB of ram.

I'll keep you informed once i have the furmark data on the gtx770. => this won't be in vmware though, i can plug the card in on our test server though. I'm not quite sure though a normal card will do the trick in vmware though.
